My name is Dimitrije Ostojic, I was born in Krusevac, Serbia. I have been introduced to photography at age of 13 when my friend showed me his old Zenit camera and talked me through basic settings. I have made my first documentary shots during NATO bombarding campaign against Serbia. The photos were describing consequences which the bombarding left on my hometown. At that time I had no idea that one day I would become a photo-journalist.

Next few years I spent working as a freelancer, my work attracted attention of the TANJUG agency (Serbian national news agency) and I became photographer there. From there I continued my career as staff photographer at “Kurir” daily newspaper and as a stringer at EPA agency (European Press Agency). I am currently working as a freelancer. My work has been published in numerous magazines and newspapers in Serbia and abroad. During the years 2007 and 2008 I spent a lot of time in Kosovo, covering the stories about self-declared independence and documenting how Serbian people live in enclaves.

Past years of work made me well known for my aviation and military photos. Those photos are often published in specialized books and magazines, as well as on internet forums and blogs where I receive huge support. Filming aviation and military is my passion and something that I really enjoy doing. I tend to use most of my free time going to mountains and rock climbing, where I often find inspiration for my work. I live and work in Belgrade, Serbia.
